Sweet River Listen Bad Water
Hi everyone! Badwater has a new MySpace page. If you're not already a friend, send a request. The band could also use your help spreading the word about the new site, so be sure to let your friends know about the new music. Contrary to anything you might have heard, the band is very much STILL TOGETHER and ready to rock with a brand new album called Straight From the Tap, which will be released in March 2007. Be sure to check back often as more new gigs will be added soon. In the meantime, check out some of the songs from the new album and leave a comment letting the band know what you think.' Band members
Arie B. - Drums
They identfy themselves as Red Dirt musicians, and they are one of Tahlequah's best representations in the Red Dirt movement. They have a sound similar to Hank Williams, Jr., Lynyrd Skynyrd, Jason Boland and the Straglers, and Cross Canadian Ragweed. They can be caught regularly at Max's Garage in Muskogee, the Big Whiskey Saloon in Tahlequah, and at Roxie's Roost out on the Illinois River.
Their offering to the SFTIR CD, "Sweet River" is from their Southern Purified CD, and in my opinion is reminiscent of Steve Miller Band material. It is a toe-tapping tune about leaving behind the throes of our daily existence and getting back to what really matters.
CD sales and booking information is available on their MySpace site: http://www.myspace.com/badwatermusic
